Franciska's Review:
This was my first time ever going to The Basement Theatre and I loved the experience. We arrived with about 10 minutes to spare so after purchasing tickets, sat in the bar until the theatre doors opened.
It was general seating and being among the first patrons in, we were able to sit anywhere we desired. So up the back we went. Which given the intimate size of the theatre was actually only about five rows from the stage ~ just perfect viewing.
The play was fantastic ~ although I think some of it was lost on the slightly older generation. Fortunately, I am young enough to follow it all. Mostly. Thanks to being the parent of a twelve year old no doubt.
I was definitely impressed with the acting talent ~ a professional level production for amateur youth theatre prices (just $15 for an adult ticket!).
The one hour duration was just perfect. Long enough to tell the story, whilst short enough to keep the audience engaged the whole time.
Kind of wishing we'd stayed for the second play.
Will definitely be back for more!
