Phnom Bok temple lies on an astronomical reference point, so that the winter and summer solstices can be observed from the western entrance.
The temple has two large frangipani trees and when they bloom, they garland the towers, resembling an elaborate haircut; another example of the accidental symbiosis between architecture and nature which now lends the part its unique aesthetic.
Walks continue to be tough going; and in the afternoon I crashed with unbearable fatigue and brain fog.
Clearly I haven't found my "sweet spot" yet. I don't want to do any less!! But my body is telling me that I'm pushing myself too hard.
