15th Tree Planted
It's been a rough week.
Saturday was a much needed (physical) rest day. My Anyuci and I enjoyed a lovely Vietnamese dinner (home delivery as neither of us felt up to going out) and spent our last evening together playing games and watching TV.
After watching About Time (which we thoroughly enjoyed), we moved onto watching the Harry and Meghan public therapy session. Suddenly I became nauseated and despite taking ondanestron, I became violently ill and spent the night vomiting.
The next day my throat was burning and my voice croaky. I was also very weak, dizzy, headachey, and queazy.
By Monday I lost my voice but managed to do an hour of incidental exercise through housework.
Tuesday still no voice and very lethargic.
Wednesday my voice returned enough to work. However, I was feeling queazy again. This time the ondanestron worked. Thank fuck.
Thursday morning I woke with a fever. Still queazy. And fatigued.
Damn it. I was supposed to be catching up with friends whom I haven't seen in years; who were visiting for just a short window of time. I hate letting people down. And I was so looking forward to seeing them and exchanging heartfelt hugs. But the universe had different plans for me.
Today I woke early to attend a webinar at 7:00am. Only to discover that I had miscalculated the time difference. Oops. So after doing a little bit of work, I showered and attempted (and conquered!) a supermarket shop. (Mostly for cat food, but also for ingredients to make a couple of soups and macaroni cheese - comfort food at its finest!)
That pushing of the trolley around isle after isle was enough to complete the Marathon to Athens Challenge; and the planting of yet another tree!!
