A great glacial lake once filled all of the Yosemite Valley, this is its last remnant.
It is a beautiful, peaceful spot, situated on a flowery meadow and near a fragrant pine forest.
On a sunny day its surface is like polished glass, reflecting on it the majesty of North Dome and Half Dome like a (you guessed it) mirror.
